Implementation: Determining Your Needs

Before training begins, our implementation coordinator will conduct an interview to learn more about your agency. The purpose of the implementation conference is to determine your specific needs-to maximize training.

Installation

Our technical staff will contact you to schedule an appointment to install the software. Hosted agencies will be installed at the data center, and remote access set up for your office. If data is being converted from your prior management system, your trial data will be set up in the Newton system.

Trial Conversion and Final Conversion Data

Trial data serves two purposes: It enhances training by allowing you to learn and practice on your own information; and it allows you to review and approve the data transfer before the live conversion.

Conversions are handled by EDI Concepts. Please click here for more information

The Training Schedule

After the software is installed and data is in place, your trainer will contact you to set up a training schedule. Sessions are broken into 1-hour segments so you can work them into your daily routine and maximize retention.

Training 1: Newton Interface Overview

Training 2: Setting Up Your Agency

Training 3: Entering Policy Information

Training 4: ACORD Forms

Training 5: Submissions, Diaries, Client Notes & Memos

Training 6: Accounting

Training 7: Management

The training schedule is planned and coordinated with your target start date in mind. Sessions are done at your own pace and we encourage you to plan them when you have uninterrupted time available.

The Primary Agency Contact

We suggest you choose a person within your agency as the primary training contact. This person should be familiar with most if not all the processes of the agency operation. Even if that individual is not directly responsible for a specific task, we suggest he or she attend all sessions along with the other personnel. The primary contact is our conduit to your staff. All information relayed to the agency is therefore coordinated and consistent.

Live Support

Please do not hesitate to contact us between sessions with any questions that may arise. We have many trainers and support personnel available to help you. We recommend you use our support lines; they are answered immediately by qualified personnel.
